My daughter and her family were going on vacation and had a long drive to their destination. I gave it to the kids to read on the way, and my daughter says that they love it. Two of them are taking turns reading it. They are7 and 9 years old and they read it to the 5 year old. Thanks!

I have only started to read the book but it is very interesting so far.
I bought 20 and put them in the back of Church before 24-hour Eucharistic Adoration. They were all gone by the next morning! Blessed Fulton J. Sheen, ora pro nobis!
Even though Archbishop Sheen wrote this small book as a compact way for soldiers to carry prayers it has left a huge impact on the military of every war since WWII and for the laity into the new millennium.

This is a beautiful story about a family from our home state of Michigan who naturally turn to their Catholic faith when faced with baby Irene's serious health issue. It also illustrates powerfully that responding to dramatic problems with faith often involves a mix of not only prayer and trust but also heroic action. May we be inspired to face our own daily challenges with the love, perseverance, and trust in God's providential care shown by Grandma Belle.

I grew up hearing the story of the cow who saved my grandmother's life, and Ann Mulligan's retelling of this family tale is wonderful! My grandmother, Irene, whom this story is about, is the most amazing person I know, and it is my life's goal to be like her. I will cherish this book forever. It is a reminder of how faithful God has been to our family - a family that would not be if not for great grandma Isabelle and the cow whose milk she fed to my grandma. Praise God for all of his blessings, especially for the blessing of being among the many descendants of Isabelle, Cecelia, and Irene! I can't wait for Ann's next book!
