I enjoyed the book! My husband and I went to Champion in June of 2025.
Physically, this is a gorgeous book. Historical photos, full-color illustrations, and attractive fonts adorn the interior, and all is printed on the high-quality glossy pages that I love. So, it begins as a sensory feast.
Then, the content. I have never before taken the time to research how an investigation of an apparition is begun, processed, and concluded by the Church, and I had almost no knowledge of this American apparition. This book puts all those pieces together for the reader while drawing us to the heart and message of Our Lady of Champion, who came from Heaven and spoke to Sr. Adele.
As with its companion book, Saint Carlo Acutis, Holy Heroes has somehow found a way to make this book appealing not only to its intended audience of children and adolescents, but also to adults like me!

I never knew all that went into approving Marian Apparitions! This book lays it our clearly and in a very engaged way for kids (and grown ups!) to enjoy. I can't wait to share this Marian apparition with my Faith Formation classes this year. In fact, I think I will make Our Lady of Champion our patron for the year.
