Glory Stories CD Vol 17: Saint Carlo Acutis

Our children, ages 13 and under loved listening to this in the car. We really enjoy the Glory Stories, and always learn something. There is always something clever or funny too, which keeps them wanting more!

What a fun and informative Glory Story. My 13 year old son said, "Oh, I've got a lot of catching up to do in holiness compared to Carlo." And Carlo had been an inspiration to my sons to be holy even as young men at home ever since.

We just started our Glory Story collection after a couple of excerpts were played on the Holy Heroes podcast a few weeks ago. My kids (ages 3-13) have all enjoyed the Glory Stories that we have purchased thus far. The Blessed Carlo Acutis one is their favorite. I think because they see him as a kid who is just like them, they are drawn to him. These CDs are the best! They keep my kids silent and deep in thought in the car for about an hour while they listen, drawn in by the true stories they are hearing. They also lead to great conversations about the Faith (after the listening is over)!

This was very well done, and we learned a lot we didn’t know. It peaked the interest enough to want to follow up by reading the book.

This is just to tell you how much our family has enjoyed Glory Stories. We have finally acquired the entire collection and our 8- and 10-year old boys listen to them constantly!

We have all the glory stories and today we listened to Bl Carlo’s story for the first time- it was fantastic!

Our kids ages 5-12 all enjoyed it!

More importantly, my wild, stubborn, full of energy 5yr old son LOVED it! He asked to listen to it twice today!!
He said he wants to go to Mass every day now!! And when he chose to disobey me today I quickly asked him “do you want to do God’s will or your will? Are you choosing to please God like Bl Carlo?” He would immediately change his mind and do “God’s will!”

All this to say, thank you for all you do. It is truly life changing!

We have already listened to the Blessed Carlo Acutis cd a couple of times since he received it yesterday. The story is inspiring our whole family. We were all talking about it at brunch. As a mother who struggles with insomnia, reading the Carlo Acutis coloring book in the middle of the night actually brought much peace and introduced me to a new friend in Heaven.

Another excellent Glory Story! My family learned things about Blessed Carlo Acutis that we hadn’t learned from other resources about his life.

This is one of our family's favorite Glory Stories (and we've enjoyed them all!). My ten-year-old son drew a number of connections between himself and Bl. Carlo (coding, martial arts) and it was such a joy as a mom to hear him get excited. Thanks, Holy Heroes, for including contemporary people in these stories--they are making a real impact!

My kids between 5 and 12 absolutely loved this Glory Story. They asked to listen 2 more times on our car trip. And these are kids whose most favorite passtime is SpongeBob and computer games. Like, I thought they might like it somewhat, but the youngest asked for it over and over, "Carlo! Carlo!" He truly is a natural big brother to all little kids. I myself was in tears listening to this. What a gift and example Carlo is for all children in this age.

My son just got me to listen to this last night. It is an amazing story and very well done! My son has had to listen to this over half a dozen times and he has had it for only two weeks.

Both of my teenage sons enjoyed listening to it. My one son has spent time learning about Blessed Carlo, and still learned at least two things he did not know before.

In Gods perfect timing, our copy arrived the day before two of my children received First Communion! We listened to it right away. It is very well done, and I think my children related well to hearing about someone young, like them, with a devotion to Jesus. It was the perfect conclusion to their Communion preparation!

We got this as a gift for our 8 year old son. He has enjoyed listening to it over and over. He loves it and has recommended it to many of his friends already. His 11 year old brother has enjoyed the cd as well.

My kids and I were aware of Blessed Carlo and had even watched part of his beatification, but WOW! This Glory Story was chock-full of inspiriting details. The kids and I couldn't stop listening, and, as soon as we finished, we said, "Daddy needs to listen to this one." It's one of my daughter's top three, with JPII and Blsd. Miguel Pro.

My children enjoyed this CD very much and listening to the story of Blessed Carlo Acutis. Although I feel like the sound quality is a bit lacking. We struggle to hear during some parts, but just turn it up really high then. My 8 yr old asks for it every time we are in the car.

We own all the cds you have, and love this new one. We like the musical stops that separate the story into bite-sized pieces. Realistic voices that were easy to follow. Beautiful scenes gave a great sense for who these people were/are.

Having teenagers, this story is so good for them to hear how to live a holy life.

Best glory story so far- bc it focused on his actual words and deeds as a kid.

We listened to the Blsd Carlo Glory Story going to and coming from mass last Sunday. He is so inspiring and related to all kids! You will enjoy it a lot. The only minor critique is that the 7 yo Carlo sounds very grown up.
