"I wish I could give this 10 stars! What an amazing book!! Theology of Covenant, the Fourth Cup of Passover (which I just read about in Scott Hahn's book, The Fourth Cup), even St. Faustina and Divine Mercy is in there, along with my absolutely favorite prayer to St. Joseph. The attention to detail, the solid Catholic teaching, the sacraments are all beautifully presented using Legos. Legos. If someone had told me two weeks ago that I would be raving about a book about the sacraments that used Legos as a teaching tool, I would have thought they were crazy. But what a great idea!! And even better, it works!!"

Join your friendly guides Fulton and Cynthia on a biblical adventure as they journey from creation to salvation and discover the importance of God’s sanctifying grace. Set in a vivid comic-book format with stunning photographs, this book makes profound theological concepts accessible to both the Catholic and the curious, the child and the adult.
I was driving with my son, and he started telling me stuff about Passover, and Jesus being the Lamb of God and all the connections between Passover and Holy Week. He's 7, in first grade. I recognized that he had his theology correct, but I could not for the life of me figure out where he had HEARD that stuff. So I asked him, "Where did you learn that?" He said, "It was in my Catechism book." "The brick one?" "Yeah."
Oh, well, then. So my seven year old is basically reading Scott Hahn in Lego form. I was a reasonably well-catechized kid, and I was an adult before I heard any of the theology he was explaining to me.

Following Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI’s teachings on Covenant Theology, this book sheds light on the parallels between the Old Testament and the New Testament and the sacraments instituted by Christ that we experience today. Readers will develop a deeper understanding of salvation history, discover how to participate in God’s covenant, and learn how to obtain grace through the sacraments, which are essential on our lifelong journey to the Eternal Promised Land.

Would LOVE to see these books written for the Traditional Latin Mass instead of the new mass; would capture a much richer representation of the history of our faith for our little ones.

I think that churches should give this book out to anyone interested in becoming Catholic! It is a hard-core catechism book disguised as a kid's book. A friend gave us this book for my son who was 5-6 at the time. I see myself as being pretty well catechized because I have continued to read books on the faith and learn as an adult (sadly the catechism of my youth was very lacking). I felt like I was learning along with my son while reading this book. The authors have an amazing way of presenting the information clearly, to the point, and in a way that is engaging. I highly recommend it to anyone, child or adult.
Love this book!! Amazing quality and so fun and educational to look through.
This is my favorite gift to give for First Communion! We first bought it a few years ago for my daughter’s Easter basket and fell in love with it! It’s so informative and my daughter didn’t even realize how much she was learning!
This is an amazing resource for parents to read to their children, and the adults will likely learn a lot.
It is very in-depth, but the children love it. The pictures pull them in.
The explanations are very clear and thoughtful.
The language is often above a child's reading level, but I sometimes edit as I read along, replacing a big word like "instituted" with "started."
The images are so creative in how they built the Lego pieces to make Bible and Church scenes.
It's a big book with many pages and very nice quality. It's a good investment to help teach children the richness of the Catholic faith.
There are also notes that tell what pages of the Catechism or Bible to reference. So there is a lot of opportunities to spur long- in-depth discussions with our children. It amazes us how much they can absorb, and my wife and I are also learning so much.
