I loved this so much I bought a bunch for my PD!

Full Disclosure: I am not actually in Law Enforcement (unless parenting Teens counts? Just kidding!).I love Devotionals, so when I saw this I knew I had to at least take a look at it to see what kind of prayers and writings are inside. Boy am I glad I did!
This devotional is for me - for anyone who needs encouragement and uplifting and very specific wisdom on dealing with conflict and growing closer to Christ- "At the Beginning of your Shift' and 'At the End of your Shift'. ('Shifts'= my day.)
I cannot praise this book enough. From the choice of daily Readings to the very powerful and personal prayers for each day, my faith is strengthened and is increasing..all because I took a chance to 'take a look' at this devotional. Boy am I glad I did!

A wonderful, much-needed, and timely resource for anyone working in law enforcement. However, before printing the next edition of this devotional, please fix the typos. For example, in the Magnificat, back cover, it should read "And has lifted up the lowly" and on page 45, it should read Veterans Day, not Veteran's Day. There may be other typos - I got this as a gift, so I've only skimmed through it. Also, please consider adding content for The Corrections Officer under Special Assignments. Thank you.

Bought this for my son, who is a police officer, for Christmas. It looks wonderful! Much for content than I expected! I hope he likes it!

The Police Officer's devotional is a great gift to give a police officer. I love its sturdy spiral binding, and high quality paper. It can stand up to the rigors of a patrol car and an officer on the move. The prayers are a great way for an officer to link their work to God's work and helps to keep them on target as to what their job really is: serving God by serving and protecting those most vulnerable in our society.

I recently ordered this for my niece’s husband who is a police officer. They have been so stressed about him leaving for work every day. Here is the text I received from my niece when the book arrived: “I about cried opening the gift you got for Nick! He LOVES it! This is exactly what he has been needing in this difficult time! This is the perfect devotional for my husband. I was looking for a really good, practical, and most of all Catholic devotional for my LEO and it did not disappoint! This devotional came along at the right time with everything that is going on, and my hubby loves it. Thank you for bringing our attention to it! The best part is that the author is a priest who was a policeman for a long time so he knows what our LEOs go through, even if it is hard for us (the spouses/family) to fully understand. We are very happy with this purchase!

As a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer and former Law Enforcement Officer I wish I had this devotional while I was on active duty. To have a handy and easy to reference guide to faith is invaluable. Even though I am now retired I find myself turning to this wonderful work often. Highly recommended. Keep safe out there, come home safe!

I have known Fr. Gallagher for 35+ years. Other than my own family, he was one of the most influential people to point me toward my own calling to become a career Police Officer. I carry this Devotional everyday in my Beat Bag to remind me of my own Faith and relationship with God. It also reminds me that I’m never alone and am always watched over, especially in these difficult times. I often will just pull over, open to a random page and read a prayer. Especially at the end of those difficult days or calls. Thank You...Fr. Steve for giving those of us who either Love a Cop or who are still on the JOB a resource to remember and celebrate both our faith and calling to serve our communities.

Coming from a 9 year career on submarines then a near 30 year career as a municipal police officer this devotional is invaluable. The devotional is well written and targets the areas that are helpful for those who are LEOs. Now that I'm retired, it is still my go to devotional. As they say: "Once a cop, always a cop." I highly recommend this devotional for all law enforcement, their families and even their friends.

While I’m not in law enforcement I am purchasing this for the law enforcement in my family.
I consider myself extremely fortunate to have met and gotten to know Fr. Gallagher and consider him a wonderful part of our family even though we now live quite far from each other. He is a wonderful man and truly brings the much needed masculinity back to Catholicism.

Excellent prayerful book for daily inspiration for our police

A wonderful prayer resource for law enforcement officers. We purchased copies to give to all the members of our local police department.

I bought this for my husband. It’s become a difficult climate for police officers, and I wanted to provide a touchstone for him that was both inspirational and faith based. This devotional fit the bill perfectly.

During this time in which our police officers are under so much attack, they need all the support we can give them, including SPIRITUAL SUPPORT! This is a great book to do just that.

This is a book you will want to read each day. I have 2 books that I read each morning: A Police Officer's Devotional and The Imitation of Christ. I find them both to be full of helpful spiritual guidance. For busy people, taking a moment to read a small portion from this book and then contemplate it throughout the day is a great way to focus your entire day on Godly things. During this time of chaos, help with maintaining that focus is much needed for Officers and the general population. This is a great inspiration for everyone!
