By Patrick Madrid
Straightforward answers to all the arguments against Tradition
In his popular bestseller Where is That in the Bible? (over 110,000 copies sold), Patrick Madrid showed the Scriptural basis for often-questioned Catholic doctrines. Now, in Why Is That in Tradition? he tackles the other half of the divine revelation: the evidence from history.
When someone accuses the Catholic Church of adding man-made doctrinal aberrations that go against Scripture, this is the book to reach for. Why Is That In Tradition? explains the crucial biblical difference between Tradition with a capital T and the many “small-t” traditions and customs that are of human origin.
When non-Catholics dispute the Church’s teachings, they sometimes misunderstand or even distort the facts. This book clears away the distortions and explains what the Church has always taught about dozens of hot topics, including salvation, Mary and the saints, confession to a priest, infant baptism, the Eucharist, purgatory, praying for the dead, the Mass as a sacrifice, the papacy, and customs such as calling priests “father,” making the sign of the cross, statues and icons, and holy water.
Patrick Madrid tackles each subject with clear, compelling explanations and offers abundant evidence in support of these Catholic teachings drawn from the writings of the early Christians. In fact, those doctrines that outsiders most often dispute are the very doctrines that, properly understood, bring people home to the Catholic Church. Share this book with a non-Catholic friend. You may be surprised by the results. (Don’t forget to order the companion books in this 3-book series: Where Is That In the Bible? and Answer Me This!)

Very cute and engaging!
I love the beautiful crucifix on the case I bought. It makes a great statement in everyday usage. I've gotten lots of compliments already.
Can i buy some more?
Beautiful and a life saver.
The images are beautiful and capture the events perfectly. The scripture verse references are useful for the bigger kids to look deeper. I have long been perplexed why anyone could be resistant to the True Presence, knowing that throughout the Gospels, what Jesus says, happens. This book brings that to life clearly.
A wonderful coloring book for my grandchildren!
Loved it!
It was a delightfully story
Beautiful coloring book, very high quality
Bought three coloring books for my grandchildren. Beautiful story. Large size pictures to color. Will help the children develop their Catholic faith.
I love Blessed Carlo Acutis. This will be a great gift for my godson.
It is a good fit for my phone. The edges will keep the screen from breaking. I like that a priest will be called in case of emergency. I love the picture of Our Lady Of Guadalupe.
I thought they were really nice! And having thestory in each page in both languages it’s great too. I handed them to my Church as we have bothEnglish and Spanish members and a Spanish Mass! Thank you.
I LOVE this book!! Do not be fooled by it’s small size- it is ENORMOUS as it is filled with so many useful bits of information about our Traditions. I keep this book in my purse or diaper bag- I goes everywhere I do. Whenever I have a spare moment to read (waiting at the pediatrician’s office for example) I pull it out and learn and learn and learn. Patrick’s writing is so easy to understand, and yet it’s challenging at the same time. It forces us Catholics to look deeper into our faith, and it gives us GREAT tools to defend our faith too. I am married to a former Mormon, and ALL of Patrick’s books, articles, mp3’s and seminars have helped me tremendously. Do you want to be a better Catholic? Do you want to know your faith and fall in-love with Jesus Christ? If you do- then get Patrick’s books. My life is forever blessed for it.
