The sweetest Christmas picture book!

The best and most important gift we receive at Christmas is the infant Jesus, the true light of the world who refreshes hearts, revives souls, and restores hope.

The Light of Christmas Morning shares a heartwarming family tradition that honors the divine gift of the Savior — before the other gifts around the Christmas tree are opened. Filled with beautiful original artwork, this book celebrates family faith and holiday traditions while always keeping Christ Jesus at the center and capturing the tenderness and warmth of the home we long for at Christmas.

Sure to become a family favorite, this story will touch hearts, minds, and souls with the authentic embrace of Christmas.

Paired with An Advent Hope, these two picture books are the perfect way to prepare for Christmas Day!

What a beautiful little story about one family's Christmas tradition. I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet story about honoring Baby Jesus as a family. This delightful book might be the start of a new tradition in your home this year!

"The Light of Christmas Morning" beautifully captures one family's special tradition for Christmas morning. Beginning with the celebration of Midnight Mass and a visit to Nana and Papa's house, we follow the young family to their own home as they prepare to tuck into bed on Christmas Eve. The book allows us to follow the family as one child discovers a statue of the Christ child next to her bed when she wakes up on Christmas morning and to sing and pray along with the family. The book's prose by Susan Joy Bellavance is gentle and inviting. Gifted illustrator Ann Kissane Englehart's art is the type of gorgeous classical watercolor work that could be hung on the wall! Such a lovely book to share with little ones during the Advent and Christmas season!!

I just got this book and read it and immediately wrote in my notes for next Christmas (Advent) to get a copy for each of my children's young families. The book is wonderful...sweetly and simply written and beautifully illustrated. It shows several traditions, some more familiar (going to Grandma and Grandpa's, lighting the Advent wreath, Christmas Eve Mass, etc.) and some less familiar, too, such as a parent placing the baby Jesus near a sleeping child and the lighting of the candles on Christmas morning. The book celebrates the joy and merriment of Christmas togetherness and gift-giving while gently focusing on the birth of Jesus. Just a wonderful new Catholic Christmas classic as far as this grandma is concerned!
