We are loving this DVD! My kids ask for it every day. I know another reviewer said the special effects were "amateurish," and that is true, but it is not at all off putting for my family. In fact, my kids love that aspect and have said several times that they like that the kids in the DVD are "real kids like us pretending and acting out stories." It encourages my kids to go find capes and act stories out themselves. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to have an easy and fun way to complete a Jesse Tree!
Presentation of information by kids was impressive, however the attempt to create excitement through "special effects" was amateurish. Today's children exposed to professional video, tune out when watching homemade attempts. The bible passages were accurate and informative, accomplishing the main objectives of the DVD...Jesse Tree genealogy.

This is an awesome, kid-friendly video that explains the Jesse tree, how it got its name and what each ornament you add stands for. Bring back the true meaning of Christmas with this activity! Use the three Wander Wise Men instead of the Elf on the Shelf for a winning combination!
We have only previewed the Jesse Tree DVD as we are waiting for advent to begin. But I enjoyed it and the kids can't wait for advent. We did have a bit of a problem playing it in the computer, but it worked just fine in our DVD player. I was worried since I couldn't get the DVD to open on the computer that we wouldn't be able to get the ornaments, but we were through a pdf site on the DVD.
I can't wait to print the ornaments and color them with my grandson.
We have not used our new DVD yet but know from doing Holy Heroes over the past several years that we will love our Jesse Tree Video. This year has been a tough one for us as I was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer and have just finished treatment on November 22nd. We look forward to Advent this year as a time of Thanksgiving and we are grateful for a product that will make it easier for us to complete our Jesse Tree.
It is great that the DVD makes it easy for you to access all the Jesse Tree videos all in one place. I wasn't aware that this featured the free video and content available online via the Advent Adventure too, but I am happy to have a convenient tool all in one spot.

Although we have only just begun the Jesse Tree DVD my four children ages 11-4 years old are really enjoying them. I personally think they like seeing other children performing and teaching scripture. While they watch the DVD they are attentive and amused. Thank you for all your hard work!! God bless you all!!

Excellent Resource
The Jesse Tree DVD is excellent! I only wish it had come it sooner. I placed the order on a Sunday and paid for priority shipping, hoping to be able to use the DVD with a youth group on that Friday evening. The estimated arrival date said it would arrive by Thursday. Unfortunately it did not arrive until after my Friday event. We are enjoying it in my family, even though we couldn't use it for the group. I am spoiled by quick shipping options on other web sites and would be willing to pay a little more to be sure the product is here when I need it.
This is a great way to do your Jesse Tree tradition if you are low on time or energy. There are great tidbits that I've never thought of before and the children connect with the Holy Heroes Guides.
My kids loved watching this! It doesn't take a lot of time to sit down and watch, as the message is delivered quickly!
For years I have wanted to do the Jesse Tree with my children. This year, I bought the Jesse Tree DVD and we are finally doing our Jesse Tree. It could not be easier and we watch the videos over and over. I would have given 5 stars but some of the camera working is shaky. Content is great. My children are getting THE STORY!!

Perfect video for teaching my 4th grade of Faith-Formation about Jesus family tree and members of the Old Testament and the actions, or non actions that influence our spiritual journey throughout our lives. Making the Jesse Tree ornaments is a highlight for them and they love having them to put on their homebound Christmas tree as a remembrance of what they learned.

Last year we began the Jesse Tree tradition in our family. I found readings for each day from assorted books, made my own not-very-good ornaments and tried to get our four kids all excited about the process. Stress! This year, I kept the same ornaments and purchased the Holy Heroes Advent Jesse Tree DVD. Boy, I am SO glad I did! The videos are wonderful! My kids (ages 11, 7, 5 and 3) all love them and look forward to them each night. They've added so much to our Jesse Tree AND made my life so much easier (much happier mama = much happier children!). This years advent has already been the best ever. Between the advent adventure, Altar gang CD, and Jesse tree DVD we are really appreciating how the lovingly the Old Testament foretold of Christ's birth. Love it!
We are enjoying our Jesse Tree DVD. Our 3-year-old son is proud that he can load and play all by himself the "movie" with all of the Adventure guides. He especially likes seeing Trey, the only boy. Thank you for a good project.
