The Holy Mass: On Earth as it is in Heaven
Catholic friends Fulton and Cynthia return for an adventure through the Holy Mass from the astounding perspective of God's instructions in the Old Testament and unpacking what Jesus taught His Apostles!
With an Imprimatur & Nihil Obstat, this vivid comic-book formatted volume takes children on a journey through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, explaining where each part of the Mass comes from and why Catholics believe in the True Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist!
Children will learn:
- How Moses and the Passover prefigured the first Mass
- How we receive special graces through the Mass
- How God's covenant relationship with us continues today
- What the deep meaning behind each element of the Mass is
- and so much more!
We’ve been asked: “So, which Mass is it that is revealed in this book?”
It’s the Holy Mass instituted by Christ that is now celebrated in various rites and liturgical expressions, traditions, languages, and forms (the Catholic Church actually includes six rites which are celebrated in 24 distinct “churches” which are all in union under the divine authority of the successor of Saint Peter).
Catechism of the Seven Sacraments
Join your friendly guides Fulton and Cynthia on a biblical adventure as they journey from creation to salvation and discover the importance of God’s sanctifying grace. Set in a vivid comic-book format with stunning photographs, this book makes profound theological concepts accessible to both the Catholic and the curious, the child and the adult.
I was driving with my son, and he started telling me stuff about Passover, and Jesus being the Lamb of God and all the connections between Passover and Holy Week. He's 7, in first grade. I recognized that he had his theology correct, but I could not for the life of me figure out where he had HEARD that stuff. So I asked him, "Where did you learn that?" He said, "It was in my Catechism book." "The lego one?" "Yeah."
Oh, well, then. So my seven year old is basically reading Scott Hahn in Lego form. I was a reasonably well-catechized kid, and I was an adult before I heard any of the theology he was explaining to me.
