QUICK QUIZ
ACTIVITY
Ask your parents if they have your footprints from when you were first born. How small were your feet then, compared to what they are now? Make footprints or trace around your feet to compare. How small do you think your babyโs feet are now, compared to how big they will be when he or she is born? Just like youโve been growing, the baby is doing a lot of growing, too! What other mementoes of your birth do your parents have?
TWIN RANDOMIZER
ย
ACTIVITY
Your unborn babyโs eyelids are still closed, but he or she can still sense light. Ask your parent or teacher (or a sibling or friend) to turn off the lights in the room you are in. Close your eyes and keep them closed. Now, ask the person helping you to turn on the lights. Can you see the light turning on in the room even though your eyes are closed? This is similar to how your baby can tell the difference between light and dark even though his eyelids are closed and he is in the womb.

ULTRASOUND MATCH
BABY PICTURES ACTIVITY
Ask your parents if they have any ultrasound pictures of you or photos of you as a newborn.ย Ask your mom if you can take some of the pictures and make a scrap book, collage, put them in a photo album, or just put them in some picture frames. Ask your parents if they remember what was happening when each of the photos were taken.ย Maybe write a sentence or two by each photo or behind each photo so you and your family can look at the photos and remember what happened.
Note to Parents: This craft can really be as โlaid-backโ or involved as you want it to be. A toddler might be happy with 5 pictures (that you have other copies of!) taped to a decorated piece of paper, while an older child might want to make a small photo album or scrapbook (there are some inexpensive ones out there or you can make one yourselves).ย The point of the craft is for the child to learn more about his/her birth and the births of siblings. Hopefully, youโll have fun reminiscing too!
