Our favorite recording of Stations of the Cross. Engaging descriptions along with traditional prayers for each station. All family members, young and old (parents and children) intensely listen because of the excellent presentation. Having a chorus of children’s voices recite prayers and brief spiritual reflection combined with an excellent male narrator describing the scenes makes for an impactful prayer experience. We couple with Stations of the Cross posters. A great substitute when we can’t make it to Church.
I had decided for Lent I would begin helping my children learn to pray the Stations of the Cross. Two weeks in I felt in over my head as I am a convert and had never prayed them Stations myself. I had pulled resourses to help us but it was not working well. I had just decided that maybe my Lenten goals were unrealistic and then I received your email about the Stations of the Cross CD. It arrived quickly and the whole family has now begun learning together. Even my 2yr old is praying along with it. This is a wonderful resource! I highly recommend it to everyone, even adults!
We love the Stations of the Cross CD! We say the Stations regularly during Lent and this has been so enriching to our prayer time. When we say the Stations we light 14 candles on the dinning room table and turn out (almost) all the lights. Then the children blow out one candle after each station until we are left in darkness. It is very dramatic praying in the dark and watching the "light of Christ" go out, and now with the addition of the Stations CD it is even more moving! The sound effects and children's voices draw in my children's attention, and I really appreciate the meditation for each station.
I have yet to hear a holy heroes production I don't love. This is no exception. My big kids are 4 and 5.5. No sooner did we finish listening to it for the first time then they were asking for it again. So glad and grateful to introduce my kids to such a beautiful devotion at such a young age.
This was great for my older two girls (ages 4 & 6.) I loved that the meditations were short enough to keep the pace moving but long enough to really make them think. The girls loved the sound effects, too. Love this CD, have already recommended to friends and our local Catholic bookstore.
