Description
Eleven-year-old Clare wants to be a saint for Jesus, but there are a few things standing in her way: everything she says, does, and thinks. Well...not exactly, but almost. Clare finds surrendering her will to Jesus unbelievably hard, until a visiting priest shares an amazing secret during her church's parish mission.
In this second book by Julie Kelly, Clare discovers the tender love of Mary, the transforming power of meditating on the life of Jesus through the Rosary, and the joy of contemplating with Mary the face of Christ. In her delightfully candid way, Clare invites readers to walk the narrow road with her to Jesus through Mary.

I love Divine Mercy . Say the chaplet at 3 PM every day and sometimes more often.. Jacqueline Lesniewski. My husband John has the Sacred Heart case and loves it as well.
Very cute and engaging!
I love the beautiful crucifix on the case I bought. It makes a great statement in everyday usage. I've gotten lots of compliments already.
Can i buy some more?
Beautiful and a life saver.
The images are beautiful and capture the events perfectly. The scripture verse references are useful for the bigger kids to look deeper. I have long been perplexed why anyone could be resistant to the True Presence, knowing that throughout the Gospels, what Jesus says, happens. This book brings that to life clearly.
A wonderful coloring book for my grandchildren!
Loved it!
It was a delightfully story
Beautiful coloring book, very high quality
Bought three coloring books for my grandchildren. Beautiful story. Large size pictures to color. Will help the children develop their Catholic faith.
I love Blessed Carlo Acutis. This will be a great gift for my godson.
It is a good fit for my phone. The edges will keep the screen from breaking. I like that a priest will be called in case of emergency. I love the picture of Our Lady Of Guadalupe.
I thought they were really nice! And having thestory in each page in both languages it’s great too. I handed them to my Church as we have bothEnglish and Spanish members and a Spanish Mass! Thank you.
Despite being older than the target audience age-wise (although probably the appropriate spiritual maturity level ;)) for this book, I enjoyed it. It was well-written, maintained a relatable voice, and presented good morals. I appreciated the character development, especially because it showed Clare struggling several times despite her desire to love Jesus better. I think this made the book more realistic and accessible. I also really respected that Clare learns things from a variety of sources. She mentions priests giving talks, her mother sharing quotes, and more. This is a nice complement to what Clare discovers through prayer, reminding us God can speak to us through others. I definitely learned some new things from reading it.
I read a chapter out loud to my first-grade faith formation class, and I think the beautiful imagery of the chapter I selected really helped them grown in understanding of the rosary, and it was a nice lead-in to our Mary garden activity.
Our kids (ages 4-9) were excited to read this book together every day ("Can we read the Clare book, Mom?"). They loved the fiery character of Clare, who struggles with the same things I think most kids struggle with- sibling rivalry, selfishness, boredom/distraction when praying the rosary... But she recognizes more and more the times she is able to overcome those temptations and do what is pleasing to God- and has some valuable revelations along the way. This book offers a refreshing reminder for children and adults alike that we don't need to rely on our own strengths (which will always let us down!) to grow closer to Jesus and Mary and keep advancing on the path to sainthood.
We love this book. It's so relatable to issues girls face and real life struggles.
Great way to teach the faith to young children. They can easily see the real life situations of their acts of good or evil, Great way to teach the rosary!
I loved reading this myself and can’t wait to share it with my daughter. This would make a wonderful gift for Catholic girls around age 9-11.
