Prepare for the coming of Christmas by walking through the Advent season with a Catholic family!
Joan, Joe, Emmanuel, and Gianna are surprised when their parents suddenly begin bringing things into their home at the beginning of December. Evergreen branches, candles, and new foods keep appearing throughout the house. They are quickly told that this is part of "Advent" and that the family is preparing for the Christmas season.
The four children have a lot of questions about Advent. Join the kids as their family celebrates Advent as a time of prayerful waiting and expectation, full of fun traditions and treats!
Excerpts from the Scripture readings for Advent and Christmas are keyed to the main text throughout the book, helping little ones make connections between the story and what they hear at Mass throughout the Advent and beginning of the Christmas seasons.
When you’re done reading, you can bless your Advent wreath using the blessing at the back of the book.

from 6052 reviewsI had borrowed this book from a friend years ago and wanted to purchase my own copy to use in our homeschool. My son is a new server at a TLM Mass and it is helping him with his movements as well.
I really like the Prayer Cards on Carlo Acutis. I wish I could afford to get them for each of the 250 children in our CCD program. I'm glad to have them for our 2nd graders.
They are beautiful
I love them! I'll be giving them to my 8th grade CCD students.
Great love it
It is compact, complete, and easy to keep by your bed or in a purse or pocket.
Good price , nice size and awesome information in the back.
The narration was so engaging that my kids were captivated from start to finish. It made the story memorable without feeling overwhelming. I especially loved how it highlighted the Knights of the Immaculata—my children really understood the beautiful distinction between knights who serve a country and knights who serve our Lord. A wonderful balance of being thorough yet approachable. Highly recommend!
I teach 2nd grade catechism can’t wait to give my students his holy card and share his story with them.
Thumbs up!
Beautiful and succinct commentary on the rosary. The best I’ve ever read. Worth every penny and more.
Great quality and greater reminders of the simple steps to holiness.
The cards were beautiful and made with sturdy card stock
There are many different holy pictures on the cards which is a nice variety. They are lovely to look at and are an additional enhancement to the Divine Praises.
I'll be handing out these great cards to teens in my Youth Group. A great set of goals for young people to shoot for.
Love this book for teaching kids about the advent season. So beautiful and I know my children will love it this year and many more to come!
We love this book! Beautiful pictures and truly added to our advent season! Thank you so much!
My neice loved it
I bought this book as an Advent gift for my four-year-old. He LOVES this book, and he wants us to read it to him over and over. We already do a home Advent wreath and Jesse Tree, so it was refreshing to read about another family doing the same things. He even called me out on the fact that the family in the book has a white candle in the middle of their Advent wreath and ours doesn't! One of my favorite illustrations was the last page - on Christmas morning, there is only one thing under the tree. Not piles of presents but a simple Nativity set. The true gift of Christmas. Very well done book!
What a lovely book. So well put together and a great way to explain what Advent is all about!
