YOU’VE JOINED the Catholic Church, or are thinking of it, or maybe you’ve recently rediscovered the Catholic Faith of your upbringing after a long absence. Or maybe you just need a solid “refresher course” in the basics of Catholicism.
If you’re at a loss about how to participate fully in the Church, connect with your local parish, and understand all those seemingly “quirky” Catholic things they didn’t cover in RCIA or CCD, this book can help.
Patrick Madrid is the perfect coach — able to offer encouragement when things seem odd or difficult, clear up misconceptions about what it means to be Catholic, explain why Catholics say and do (and don’t say and do) certain things, and help new converts and those returning to the Church fully live their Catholic Faith.
“Now What? is the perfect read for those new to the Catholic Faith, as well as for long-time believers looking to jump-start their faith.” — Mark Hart, author of Tweet Inspiration
“This book offers practical tips on how to plug into the life of the Church — and stay plugged in.” — Mark Shea, author of Salt and Light
“Patrick Madrid acts as a personal guide to your rights, privileges, duties, and obligations as a Catholic. He points out what to avoid and how to effectively dive into a meaningful and joy-filled Catholic life.” — Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle, author of The Miraculous Medal: Stories, Prayers, and Devotions

I bought it as a gift for my soon to be baptized granddaughter-in-law. I skimmed it and feel it will be a real help for her.
This book is not only for new Catholics; it is great for those Catholics who attended a Catholic school and learnt nothing about the Faith, for those Catholics who wandered away from the Church and now want to come home and for those Catholics who want to revise what they know about the Church Jesus founded.
I wont go into details of Mr Madrid's excellent explanations of Catholic dogmas and doctrines, customs etc because other commenters have done better than I could.
I really liked the way Mr Madrid supported his explanations with references to the Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Oh, and I really liked the title.
Perfect
Just as advertised! A++
Great book. Helps out alot with my journey.
First, this is a great book for ALL Catholics. This book is especially great for new Catholics, particularly those in RCIA or those coming right out of RCIA.
Patrick, with his decades of experience and his having met thousands upon thousands of Catholics, new and old, shares his advice for a healthy, fruitful, and long-lasting life in the Church. In this book you'll learn everything from what to do with the Sacraments to what do do with doubts when they arise - AND THEY DO!
Written in his always 'easy to approach' tone, Patrick has gifted the Church with another gem. Get this book for yourself if you need the guidance, but definitely buy this book for those new or entering the Church soon!
