The words and art of this book are beautifully done but it's not just another beautiful book, it has spiritual substance that can help a child's growing faith. As a spiritual director I see many adults who struggle with experiencing God's love as real. I recommend this book, full of diverse children, to parents because it show Jesus for who he is: approachable, loving and real
My 8 yr old son enjoyed this book! He said he felt lovey-dovey after reading it. He especially liked the illustrations of the child Jesus playing with other children.
I highly recommend this book. It is a sweet and heartwarming story. The questions the child asks Jesus are truly what a child would want to know making it easy for children to understand and relate.
I really enjoyed this sweet story, it was a great book to read with my granddaughters to help them relate to Jesus. I loved the focus of the story on Jesus being truly human as well as God. I also loved the variety of included children in the book pictures.
Wonderful children's book, and cannot recommend enough. Beautiful illustrations, sweet writing, and moving message. The emphasis at the end on that Jesus was little *for* us is especially touching and a great truth for littles to ponder this Advent season.
Recently, I have been adding new books to my bookshelf for the children, and this one is a Catholic mom's must. I enjoyed the fun language and beautiful message about how Jesus cares about our life. The pictures were gorgeous, and the simple rhyming scheme made it fun to read out loud.
This is a wonderful book to help children understand Jesus. I love that it begins with repeating Jesus, were you little? Just like me, then the last two before the end it changes to Just for me. It is a journey for children and the last one Jesus, you've done everything for me! You love me, Jesus! That's forever. The last page I feel you here! in my heart, says it all. If you are raising your child in a Christian home, this is a must have book.
