Enjoy this excerpt:

Jesus Christ, the Son of God,
once lived in Galilee.

He healed the sick, He raised the dead,
He made blind people see.

The people were amazed by Him;
they hung on every word.

They asked Him, “Jesus, who are you?”
He said, “The Good Shepherd.”

The Shepherd says "I know My sheep
and all of them know Me,

Just as the Father knows His Son
and loves Him tenderly.”

Who are those sheep of whom He spoke
so very long ago?

What secret did the Shepherd want
His followers to know?

Written by two sisters to fulfill a childhood ambition to write and illustrate a book together. The author, Jenny, is a Montessori guide and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd catechist, and the illustrator, Caroline, is a former Disney artist who has created hundreds of Holy Heroes coloring pages, prayer card art, and other illustrations.

Very nice and gentle way to explain the parable of the Good Shepherd. I look forward to using it with my class.

Based on Psalm 23, this book is an inviting poem to simplify and enrich the teaching of Jesus as our loving Shepherd.

We love this book. It's beautifully illustrated and engaging read. It's a little different than I expected, because there's more explanation of the parables possible meanings put into the story than just a presentation of the parables which is more what I was expecting...but still nicely told and my kids love it.

When stopping over for a quick visit, My Grandson was excited to see this book had arrived. God willing, we will read it the next time he visits.
